Why So Many Reject Jesus—and Why Christians Must Keep Planting Seeds

He stood with a sincere heart and asked a powerful question: Why don’t more people accept and understand how wonderful Jesus Christ is?

The answer is not hidden. In the Gospel of John 8:43–44 (NKJV), Jesus explains,
"Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it."

Many have been deceived by the enemy and drawn into the fleeting pleasures of this world. They’ve turned a deaf ear to Christ’s message of love, grace, and mercy. But for the Christian community, this should not come as a surprise.

Matthew 24:10–12 (NKJV) warns us:
"And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold."

Despite this reality, our mission as followers of Christ remains unchanged. As Matthew 28:19 (NKJV) commands:
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations..."

Even when the ground is hard and the harvest seems uncertain, we are called to plant seeds of faith. If even one soul is saved, our efforts are not in vain.

The man with the sincere heart didn’t fully grasp this difficult truth: many will choose to follow the father of lies, instead of the one true Father—the Creator of all. But we press on, because Jesus is worth it.
