Are You Plugged In to God? Staying Connected to the True Power Source
Are You Plugged In to God?
Recently, I purchased a lamp that I just couldn’t get to work. I inserted a new bulb, wiggled the socket, and even checked the switch. Frustrated, I turned to my wife and said, “Well, this lamp doesn’t work!”
Her response was priceless:
“Did you plug it in?”
Sure enough, as soon as I connected it to the power source, the lamp lit up so brightly it nearly blinded me.
It was a simple mistake—but it holds a powerful truth.
Do you sense God working in your life?
If not, perhaps it's time to check whether you're truly plugged in to Him.
In John 15:5 (NIV), Jesus says,
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
In other words:
Stay connected to Christ and your life will bear fruit. But apart from Him, nothing lasting or meaningful can take root.
God desires to work in and through each one of us. The key is to stay connected—through His Word, through prayer, through community in the church. When we remain in Him, His power flows through us, lighting up our lives with purpose and direction.
